About Me

My photo
Mysteries, polka dots, California Rolls, TJ Maxx, cozy blankets, rainy days and getting the first spoonful of peanut butter out of the jar make me smile. Spiders, rude people, cold fingers and toes, baby leashes, people that don't wrap their packages before going to the Post Office, poison ivy and Math (pretty much all of it) make me want to scream. My perfect day would be spent with my wonderful husband and sweet girls- watching movies in our jammies! Of course, having the movie theater to ourselves would be great, too. Please pass the popcorn and M&M's.:) I am saved by the grace of God. He is my constant companion and hears my every prayer. What a blessing! I'd love to hear from you! Savor by Shauna Niequist- Delightfully Comforting Devotional & Cookbook!

My Thoughts:

It felt like Christmas morning when I downloaded the newest book by Shauna Niequist, Savor. I absolutely adored Shauna's book, Bread and Wine, (sticky notes are scattered throughout the pages and there's red wine vinegar spills aplenty!and knew I MUST get my hands on her newest creation! The name is perfectly appropriate- savor. Just like your favorite blanket, Shauna covers you, comforts you with her stories, mouthwatering recipes (I can't wait to try Lindsay's Green Chile Strata and Curried Chicken Salad Tea Sandwiches!) and a beautiful focus on the Lord. Part devotional, part cookbook and all heart. I've bookmarked many pages and highlighted passages that I'll be revisiting again and again, just like an old friend. Savor made me sigh, dream, cry and reflect on my life. I'll definitely be gifting this book to friends and family. It's a treasure. Thank you, Shauna Niequist.
